And we are back to our white theme! Last week!!
With all the snow all over the northeast this week,
You should be able to find some white snow
(even if you have to turn on the weather channel to see it!)

I am so tempted to let you all off easy this week since every child in the universe is singing, “Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?” These days. BUT here is another song if you just can’t take anymore Frozen lyrics J
I’m A Little Snowman

♫ I’m a little snowman, [Snowman gesture.]
look at me. [Point your index fingers away from your eyes, then point to your chest with your thumbs.]
These are my buttons, 1 2 3. [Make a small circle with your thumb and index finger, then move it down the front of your shirt 3 times.]
These are my eyes and this is my nose. [Point to your eyes with two hands, then point to your nose with one hand.]
I wear a hat and scarf. [Pretend to put on a hat and wrap a scarf around your neck.]
Brrr…it’s cold! [Hug yourself and shiver.]
I’m a little snowman, look at me.

Letter of the Week
N for Night
“Every letter makes a sound, N says uhN!”
Some people say “nuh” but it’s really “uhn” ~ have fun with this!
Snack of the Week
Two options this week!
Banana Snowman
Lay 3 banana slices down on a plate
to make it look like a snowman.
Use straight pretzel sticks for arms
and raisins or blueberries for buttons/face.
Cracker and Cream cheese Snowman
Lay 3 circle cracker, covered in cream cheese,
down on the plate, in the shape of a snowman.
Again use raisins to create the buttons and facial features
& pretzel sticks for the arms.
Art Project of the Week
Cotton Ball & Q-Tip Snowman
Make a snowman, indoors!
Cut out some white circles
& have your child glue them to a blue or black background
to create the “night” sky.
Next have them glue down cotton balls to cover up the snowman!
Add some googly eyes or buttons for eyes, nose, mouth!
You can cut out an orange triangle for a carrot nose, too!
Use the q-tips and either shaving cream mixed with
glue OR just white paint and let your little one make
white snow dots on the background.
Have fun and be sure to share your creations when you are finished!
Field Trip of the Week
Go outside and build a snowman if you have snow!
If you do not, then go to the park and make a “snowman” out of sand in the sandbox. Then you can make a snowman out of leaves. Be sure to talk about how silly it is to make a snowman out of things other than snow!
